LIPPODROME - Hugo Weber

Lippodrome est un projet réalisé dans le cadre du festival  Planche(s) Contact de Deauville.
Au fil d’une année, le photographe Hugo Weber a pénétré les coulisses du monde hippique de la fameuse station balnéaire, avec une attention particulière portée aux femmes, en essayant de comprendre et représenter leur position et leur désir d’évoluer dans cet univers pourtant très fermé.
Ayant grandi très loin de ce milieu si particulier, c’est l’occasion pour lui de raconter une histoire différente en immersion dans cette culture jusque là inconnue pour lui. Il balaye de son regard nouveau les différents moments de ce quotidien : des plus grands rassemblements à la plus stricte intimité.
Ce fanzine est la continuité de l’exposition s’étant ouverte le 23 octobre 2020 à Deauville et continue à faire vivre le projet au delà des murs du festival.

Lippodrome is a project carried out as part of the Planche(s) Contact festival in Deauville.
Over a year, photographer Hugo Weber went behind the scenes of this equestrian world, with particular attention paid to women, trying to understand and represent their position and their desire to evolve in this universe however very hard.
Having grown up very far from this special environment, this is the opportunity for him to tell a different story while immersing himself in this culture until then unknown to him. He gives a new vision of the different moments of this daily life : from the largest gatherings to the strictest intimacy.
This fanzine is the continuation of the exhibition which opened on 2020, October 23 in Deauville and continues to bring the project to life beyond the walls of the festival.
