Publié à l’occasion de l’exposition collective « Documenting Paris » à la Retramp Gallery de Berlin en juillet 2019, le fanzine ICI C’EST PARIS est le fruit d’une année passée à arpenter la métropole.
Ce recueil nous offre un portrait de la ville tiré au cordeau, dont BadYear85 propose une vision radicale et très esthétique. La capitale ne se photographie pas comme toutes les autres et cet ouvrage nous en livre la preuve.
Tunnels souterrains, graffitis, toits parisiens, portraits, scènes de liesses ou de révoltes : le photographe nous incite à découvrir avec lui l’âme si particulière de la cité.
Entièrement conçu et assemblé à Paris, l’objet est imprimé en risographie, une technique qui donne aux photographies noir & blanc une texture et un grain particulier, en accentue le corps et la puissance.

Published for the collective exhibition « Documenting Paris » at the Retramp Gallery in Berlin in July 2019, the fanzine ICI C'EST PARIS is the result of a year spent surveying the metropolis.
This collection offers us a trenchant assessment of the city, of which BadYear85 shows a radical and very aesthetic vision. The capital is not photographed like all the others and this book gives us the proof.
Underground tunnels, graffitis, Parisian roofs, portraits, scenes of jubilation or revolt : the photographer encourages us to discover with him the very special soul of the city.
Entirely designed and assembled in Paris, the object is risoprinted, a technique that gives black & white photographs a texture and a particular grain, which accentuate the body and the power.
